Embracing Adversity; A Journey of Art

In the serene landscapes of Carroll County, Maryland, a 29-year-old man’s life story unfolds.  It is a captivating narrative of resilience and creativity. Miles Taylor was born and raised in Vietnam and at a young age when his Mother sadly passed away, he was adopted and moved to the United States. Soon after, doctors at Johns Hopkins diagnosed him with a mild case of Cerebral Palsy, a condition affecting control of his muscle movement. He refused to let the diagnosis deter his drive for achievement and success. Within the tapestry of these challenges, he weaves a tale that inspires us all. Graduating from Wesminster High School, Miles has become a bit of a local celebrity and it’s rare to find a resident who isn’t aware of his many achievements.

Artistic Journey; Brushstrokes of Joy

An artist at heart, Miles discovered a joy for creating digital art while taking graphic design and fine art classes in school. With these tools, he is able to transform his personal experiences into vibrant artworks. His everyday life has inspired many pieces featured in our art gallery. They not only express his journey but radiate joy to those who encounter them. 
“I love sharing about subjects that I care about through my art such as wildlife, nature, my Vietnamese culture, and my Faith”.

Through art, physical accomplishments, and charitable initiatives, he has become a beacon of hope and positivity. In a world marked by adversity, this man has crafted a tapestry of inspiration. His journey as an Artist and Disability Advocate is a testament to the transformative power of resilience, creativity, and a heart dedicated to making a difference. We are proudly showing a collection of Miles’ artwork now through March 30th 2024.  Everyone is welcome to come by to view the art and hopefully purchase some for yourself to hang in your own home gallery.  Most of the framed pieces are hand crafted by Miles’ Father! All are affordably priced and this is a fantastic way to show your support for our local artists of Carroll County, Maryland.
